The Adult Education accreditation is dedicated exclusively to school staff — teachers, administrative and technical personnel, and senior management — including those working in the evening programme at IIS Bianchi. It does not involve daytime students.
The goal is to build an internal team capable of managing European mobility projects to a high professional standard: from partner selection to financial reporting, from student support to the writing of new project applications.
Three Areas of Competence
Project Management and European Governance Staff take part in training focused on Erasmus+ procedures: budget management, results monitoring (KPIs), and report writing for Indire and EACEA. The aim is to keep the organisational framework running smoothly and consistently, even as the people involved change over time.
Language and International Communication Improving staff language skills means being able to communicate directly with European partners — during negotiations, throughout mobility periods and in the handling of official documents — without relying on intermediaries.
Partner Selection and Quality Assurance Before sending students abroad, someone needs to go and verify that the host company or school is genuinely suitable. Preparatory visits serve exactly this purpose: assessing the quality of facilities, consolidating agreements and ensuring that destinations are safe and aligned with each study programme.
How Staff Development Works
ADU mobilities follow three pathways, depending on each staff member's needs:
- Structured training courses — updates on teaching methodologies, digital tools, inclusion, sustainability and European project management
- Job Shadowing — working alongside colleagues at European institutions to observe directly how schools and training systems operate in other countries
- Preparatory visits — technical missions to assess partner companies and schools before VET student mobilities begin
