From May 26th to June 26th, I lived an incredible experience in Barcelona, blending work with fun. During the week, I collaborated with the interior design company atricol, working in their showroom using AutoCAD and various 3D software to bring custom furniture and renders to life for both interior and exterior spaces. This daily work on spatial and volume management completely changed how I observe the city.
In my free time, I explored Antoni Gaudí's masterpieces, and the Sagrada Familia literally took my breath away. Looking at its famous tree-like columns branching out toward the vaults, I couldn’t help but think about how complex and fascinating it would be to recreate such an organic structure on 3D modeling software.
Being able to closely study both the interior and exterior details of this stone forest, while simultaneously designing contemporary furniture back at the showroom, made me realize that avant-garde architecture and modern interior design are deeply rooted in the millimetric study of nature and light.
