Cork is a city you don't expect. You arrive here and immediately notice that it has a different, quieter and more relaxed atmosphere than the big European capitals. The streets of the center are filled with quaint shops, pubs with live music, and covered markets like the English Market, where you can breathe in the smell of fresh food and Irish tradition.
One of the things we appreciated most was safety. Even moving by foot in the evening or in less central areas, you always feel comfortable. The people are kind and helpful, and the city is compact enough to walk around. Between the Lee River that runs through it, Saint Fin Barre Cathedral, and the vibrant Shandon neighborhood, every corner has something to offer. Cork is the right place for those who want to have an experience abroad and relax in nature.
